The vibrantly aging population of Durham County grows every day. We are home to over 100,000 older adults over the age of 55, with older adults making up the fastest growing segment of the population. The number of older adults in Durham County is growing at twice the rate of children and three times that of other adults. In 2030 older adults will account for nearly 25% of Durham’s population.
Our mission to aid these older neighbors, family, and friends in staying active, living healthy, and remaining as independent as possible could not exist without support from donors, benefactors, and sponsors. Together, we continue to offer vital services and programs to change the landscape of aging in Durham and make a difference in a lifetime.
