DCSL EATS Program

DCSL EATS serves residents of Durham County age 55+ who are without reliable access to a sufficient amount of affordable and nutritious foods.

 

DCSL 55+ Food Pantry:

Open Monday-Friday by appointment. One bag is provided per month to each individual requesting supplies.


Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP):

Please inquire about location pickup and time. Enrollment is based on age and income.


DCSL Shop & Grab:

Offered once a month unless otherwise stated. Provides access to grocery items at no cost.


Cooking Demonstrations:

Every first and third Friday of the month. Enjoy a healthy and simple cooking demonstration among friends.


Kitchenless Seniors EATS:

For older adults experiencing homelessness. Bags offered Monday-Friday; no reservation required. 


Eligibility:

 

  • Individuals must be 55+ and live in Durham County. 
  • All individuals are required to submit their name, current address, and number of individuals in the household each time they are served. 
  • Some food programs may require that you complete an application before receiving services.
  • Photo identification may be requested if applicable.
